SECO Energy has a new plug and go vehicle

r © Cathy SheldonYes, the environment is important to us at SECO Energy! To demonstrate that SECO Energy has just rolled out a new hybrid vehicle as part of its fleet. This is one more way to help do our part to protect the environment, and its inhabitants, by being a responsible corporate citizen.

The design concept for the car was created by the Corporate Communications & Energy Services group. As frogs are one of the prime biological indicators of the health of our environment they have a significant presence on the car. The name SECO Trekker has been associated with ecotourism.

The fact that the vehicle gets such great mpg, 100+, is also a major graphic component. The vehicle has been retrofitted with a plug-in capability employing the latest in lithium-ion battery technology. This will help the vehicle achieve extraordinarily high mileage through a blend of electric and gas power. At SECO Energy, we believe the design will help raise public awareness. And, we have also begun testing this vehicle to see if hybrids will have application for portions of our fleet.

The graphic designer on the project was SECO's own Cathy Sheldon, Public Affairs Communicator in Corporate Communications.
