Teach children about safety around electricity

It's important to teach children about safety around power lines and electricity

Safety is serious business for everyone at SECO.
Because electric energy can burn, injure -- even kill, SECO's Line Technicians have a special message for kids of all ages:

“ALWAYS respect electricity and exercise caution when working or playing around it. Never, play in or around power equipment such as transformers or substations. Always consider wires to be live and dangerous.”

It is important that children learn how to stay safe, learn to look for potential hazards and not play near substations or underground transformers. That's why SECO spends time visiting schools and talking to kids about safety around power lines. SECO's state-of-the-art power show demonstrates first-hand why playing it safe around electricity is important. Has our Safety Program demonstration been shown at your school? If not, contact us to set up a demonstration.
