Just a few cents a month can change someone's life

This is an easy way for you and your Co-op to work together towards a common goal, providing financial assistance to worthy causes in our service area. That goal is to improve the human condition in SECO’s service territory.

It’s simple. Members who decide to be part of the program, have their monthly electric bill automatically rounded up to the nearest dollar. As an example, if your bill is $67.72, you’All pay $68.00. The extra 28 cents goes directly into the SECO Angel Fund.

Requests for energy assistance are administered through several area agencies. Any small administrative costs are absorbed by the Cooperative. You can rest assured that 100% of your donation will be used to make life better in our community.

Just imagine the good that could be done if all of SECO's members joined the “Pennies From Heaven” program. These funds can be used to provide energy assistance or help for those in dire circumstance (house burned, etc.), purchase emergency medical supplies, support charitable organizations and fill a host of other needs in our area. Just a few cents every month can change lives.

The SECO Angel Fund is a very positive force in our service territory and something, about which, we can all be proud. All of these agencies have been selected by the local United Way Offices in each county to distribute energy assistance funds on behalf of SECO. Applicants for special assistance from the SECO Angel Fund must fill out a combination certificate of need/disclosure statement. Application forms are available at all SECO Offices.

The SECO Angel Fund is intended to help meet those needs in our community which might not be met through other means. It is not intended to replace, or supercede, any other types of existing funds, or grants, currently being used to address humanitarian needs in our communities.

For more information about the Angel Fund, send an email to Customer Service or contact us by phone at (352) 793-3801, or at any of the phone numbers listed at the bottom of this page.
