Our energy professionals have developed an easy-to-follow Mail-in Energy Survey you can print, complete and mail in to us. One of our energy specialists will review your information and contact you with suggestions that may help you save energy and money. Just click on the survey (above) to get started.

Conduct your own Energy Audit Online free of charge. This do-it-yourself program will allow you to get a good picture of your energy consumption at home and offers advice on how to reduce your Touchstone Energy Saversoverall costs. This online audit is geared for Central Florida homes and is very easy to use. Simply click“Run an Energy Audit on your house!” to start your audit. In addition, Touchstone has an Energy Savers section on their Web site for Coop members. According to the Energy Policy Act of 2005 you could be eligible for tax credits for some energy efficient improvements made to home or business.

In person, free home energy audits are also conducted for residential members and commercial audits are performed for member-businesses who wish to know more about their energy consumption. Representatives are trained to survey facilities and make recommendations to help keep energy costs down. Following a thorough inspection of your home or business, they suggest ways to improve its energy efficiency. SECO provides a wide range of energy conservation information available at any of our offices, or more detailed information can be obtained from one of our knowledgeable service representatives.

While the typical home offers many opportunities for saving money without sacrificing comfort, sometimes finding them can be tricky, or just overlooked. The goal of this information is to help you gain greater control over your energy consumption. Energy needs in Florida vary according to the seasons. However, the major areas for possible savings are: home insulation, heating and cooling, lighting, cooking, water heating, refrigeration, laundering and pumping water or running special equipment.
