Sandra (Sandi), a Certified Cooperative Communicator, is the Senior Corporate Communicator, Web Administrator & Community Outreach Coordinator at Sumter Electric Cooperative located in Central Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Beacon University in Columbus, Georgia.

Staton has 37 years of experience with the Co-op including 30 years in the communications and public relations field. She has expertise in the electric utility, marketing, advertising and communications industry. Her strengths are writing, photography and graphic design with award winning accomplishments in print, web, multimedia productions and for her wildlife photography which is her passion including the wildlife photos featured on this site.

She is a member of the International Webmasters’ Association, the HTML Writers’ Guild, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and the National Cooperative Communicators Association. Mrs. Staton is also the author of the award winning Nature's Reflections book and monthly column by that name which appears in the Co-op’s member newsletter, the SECO News, and her photography is featured on this Website and in the Co-op's annual Florida Wildlife Calendar. Her work is also featured on area Websites and local brochures in the community.
